DESCRIPTION: ALZA Corporate Headquarters is located at the Gateway of Mountain View’s Shoreline Business Park. The distinctive architecture and exceptional views create an unparalleled environment for business technology and professional firms. The project includes the construction of three 4-story mid-rise office buildings of approximately 125,000 square feet each. The buildings are surrounded by a single story above grade parking garage with a cast in place deck of 365,000 square feet. The top surface of the garage supports a 24 inch section of landscaping improvements including palm trees to create an upscale park-like setting.

The buildings are Type II 1 hour structural steel braced frames. The project has challenging architecture, requiring extensive coordination and pre-planning of all phases of the work. Skin installation phasing was also coordinated to overlap with the installation of podium water proofing, fill placement, and site concrete work. ALZA Corporate Headquarters unique design and sylvan landscaping compliments and enhances the bayland's character of Shoreline Business Park.
