Our
team draws upon resources of over seven decades of successful construction
history. Established in 1932, Vance M. Brown built custom
homes and small retail buildings. Allan and Robert Brown joined
their father in 1949. The company began to expand operations,
constructing schools, other public buildings, and larger commercial
structures, incorporating in 1950.
During
the 1960s, orientation changed from public works to privately
owned projects. With
the growth of the Bay Area, the scope of our projects has expanded
steadily in size and complexity. The third generation, Loren and
Steven Brown joined the firm in 1978 and 1980, respectively. Loren Brown assumed presidency of Vance Brown,
Inc. in 1990. In keeping with tradition, the company reinforces
the philosophy of mutual trust and respect with our clients.
