Renovation of Existing Buildings

Pre-construction Services and General Contractor for renovation of a two Adjacent 60,000 sq.ft. Buildings.

Both three-story buildings were originally built in the 1950’s. Vance Brown removed the roof, exterior skin, and demolished the interiors of both buildings, leaving only their structural skeletons.

The challenge of asbestos and lead paint abatement required pre-construction planning to properly remove and dispose of the hazardous materials

Seismic upgrades including concrete shear walls were completed prior to the installation of new windows and roofing, exterior building skin and a new enclosed link between the original structures. Extensive new common areas and landscaping greatly enhanced the property.

All new mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire and life safety as well as telecommunications were completed prior to the construction of the interiors.
