New Laboratory Building

New 70,000 sf laboratory building for the Astrophysics Department of Stanford.

Building is comprised of two lower level basement floors that accommodate over two dozen various laboratory groups. Upper two level floors are for administrative uses.

The building required engineering for acoustical and vibration properties to meet the standards of the department. Strict attention during construction was necessary due to the adjacent physics laboratory where sensitivity to noise and vibration was critical.
