The Roble Field Parking Structure, is an innovative 5-level subterranean facility built by Vance Brown Builders that preserves the natural green space above while providing essential parking for the university's growing needs. The structure features 1,162 parking stalls with 52 EV charging stations on Level P1, and is prepped for additional charging stations on lower levels.
To support the natural turf field above, 24" of lightweight engineered soil was used to minimize load on the structure, with enhanced lighting and white walls and ceilings to brighten the subterranean interior. The project won the 2018 Award of Excellence for Best Design of a Parking Facility and received the Parksmart Silver certification.
